Under Floor Insulation

Underfloor insulation is a polystyrene insulation board specifically designed to insulate between the timber floor joists of homes and buildings.

Easy to install

Underfloor insulation is perfect for DIY installation, even in a confined space. Each board is 1.2 meters long and has concertina cut edges that simply hold the board in place without any need to drill or screw into the studs. Underfloor insulation comes in 4 standard widths to fit easily between most joist spans and can be easily cut down to fit irregular spans and shapes if required.

High R-values

A sheet of our underfloor insulation has an R value of R1.4, well above the minimum recommended R-value for timber floor insulation. Insulation is vital in maintaining energy efficiency and an uninsulated floor allows heat to easily escape from your home while allowing drafts in. An R-value of 2.8 can be easily achieved by simply installing two sheets instead of one. This is especially useful in areas with extreme cold, such as alpine and high snow areas.

Eliminate draughts

The concertina-cut sides of our underfloor insulation products push against the wooden joists, holding themselves in place and eliminating draughts by sealing up the floor.

New Homes or Older Homes

Underfloor insulation can be installed in new homes to meet insulation requirements or existing homes to improve comfort and energy efficiency.
