Polyfoam provided assistance to a team of Swinburne University students with their entry in the Swinburne Formula SAE.

The Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) is a competition which began in Australia as a final year project for Mechanical Engineering students. It has since grown to become a project that involves students from many disciplines, including business, engineering and multimedia design. The team of students work together to gain sponsorship to fund the project, then design, build and manage a formula-style race car. At the end of the year, the vehicle is put through a variety of rigorous testing, and then culminates with an endurance race against other university's entries. Competing teams are from all over Australia, as well as around the world. Polyfoam was involved with the production of the body panels. This proved to be of great assistance to the team, as Polyfoam were able to produce multiple bodies in various colours, as well as a clear body which allowed the team to display all the internal components.
Polyfoam was pleased with the teams performance, as they fared very well in the event. We look forward to assisting Swinburne's future race teams in a similar fashion. |
